South Fulton is filled with talent and ambition, but we’ve lagged behind in equipping our people with the tools they need for today’s economy. Fast Forward means preparing our workforce not just for the jobs of now, but the industries of the future. We’ll transform underutilized public spaces — including recreation centers — into modern workforce hubs offering certifications, pop-up training events, and hands-on learning for residents of all ages. This includes real-world, revenue-building skills like: E-commerce & digital entrepreneurship Basic AI tools and automation training Tech-assisted trades (like drone surveying, 3D printing, and logistics) Content creation, branding, and remote work readiness We’ll also provide residents with access to job prep through the South Fulton SmartGov App, where they can register for workshops, track career resources, and claim training incentives. To support this initiative, I will propose a South Fulton Hiring Incentive Program — a performance-based rebate that offers $500 per verified city resident hired full-time, capped annually. As Mayor, I will draft this legislation and work with the City Manager and City Council to gain approval and ensure it’s tied to clear deliverables: wage fairness, local hiring outreach, and workforce equity. Economic growth doesn’t start with outside companies — it starts with investing in the people who live here now. Workforce development is how we close the gap between talent and opportunity — and turn South Fulton into the city that truly pays its people back.
